That was awkward naming by me.

I'll drop the underscore in the NLS package in future.

Lucky I didn't do that for bacon recorder.

Edit

OOps I misunderstood

I have to put an underscore character in.

Puppy Clock 0.5.2
The countdown restarts indefinitely after the set time is completed.
Is there a way for it stops after the set time?

To stop a countdown you go to first page and click on 12hour
or 24 hour button. This resets the clock ie makes it a normal clock
again.

Here's an interesting experiment for people to try.

As the action for the countdown feature, try typing in field

Code: Select all

xmessage Happy Birthday
Set a number of seconds and start the countdown.

This is a good way to study the countdown feature.

New version 5.3

I put in button to reset the countdown (see image)

This stops the countdown and resets the digital clock as well.

This should satisfy the complaints about
not understanding the countdown feature.

New version 5.4

Code: Select all

<input file stock="gtk-open"></input>
1) I found that I had forgotten the word 'stock' and this would result in
the icon missing in Precise

2) In the countdown feature I now have an application chosen
that should make the feature more understandable.

hi don570

i've had a bug report from a user of tahrpup concerning pclock and can confirm the same.
1. pClock-3.5 issues a broken pipe error that quickly fills xerrs.log with thousands of error messages. To test, just load pclock and then exit. Go to xerrs.log and you will notice the pipe error messages which increase rapidly over time. Pemasu noticed the same problem last year in his pups.

Code:
sh: line 17: echo: write error: Broken pipe
sh: line 18: echo: write error: Broken pipe
sh: line 17: echo: write error: Broken pipe
sh: line 18: echo: write error: Broken pipe
sh: line 17: echo: write error: Broken pipe
sh: line 18: echo: write error: Broken pipe
cheers

I've downloaded it and I will test it out tonite.

I noticed also that pclock wouldn't set a music alarm, but I assumed
that the reason was because you are using such an old version of pclock

I suggest that you update to the newer version .54 or if you like Zigbert's
interface he has an updated version as well.

Is there any way to modify this so that you could run more than one instance at a time without them interfering with each other and both being separately resettable ? (eg one instance plays a voice prompt every minute and another instance plays a beep every second).

I hardly set it to french (version 5.4)

ok Puppy clock installed. I hardly set it to french (version 5.4). By studying the subject i load previeous pet NLS and extract french translation to version 5.4
I link the subject to french colleagues for full translation.

countdown doesn't work properly.

Use zigbert's version if you want the countdown feature.
