It's a *.desktop problem : in ASRI package we point to a template :
Exec=libreoffice4.4 --writer "/root/.config/libreoffice/4/user/template/modele-writer.ott"
see package above.

I have the same problem as genei (welcome to the kennels :) ) having just tried to open libreoffice_4.4.3_en_es_xz.sfs in a frugal install Tahrpup 6.02CE (JWM). WT? I'm sure I had the package working earlier, but haven't used this distro for a few weeks. Tried symlinking /copying the desktop files from usr/local/share/applications to usr/share/applications as suggested by someone earlier, and "fixmenus" in console - but the "/root/%U " error remains. My first reflex was to uninstall and reinstall the SFS and that hasn't worked either. Perhaps I'll relegate myself back to an earlier SFS :(

Try to delete "%U" in the desktop file.
You can also replace it with your template path as suggested above.

Thanks boxR :)
not completely successful - I changed the writer.desktop file in /opt/libreoffice4.4/share/xdg with your Exec template mentioned above, "fixmenus" in console but still get "/root/%U does not exist". Very strange. However, directly selecting any of the .desktop files in /opt/libreoffice4.4/share/xdg opens the required application, and I'm able to limp along with Impress now to reach a deadline. Thanks again!

Hello jopervasco, thank you for reporting bugs on ASRI Edu forum then.
Packages are made for Lucid (32-bit) but they must run on Slacko too.

Hello Puppus :D
Thanks for the update!
Note: your links both point to your sfs version of LibreOffice (the link to the pet version is missing)

LibreOffice 5.0.0

#218 Post by vicmz »

New LibreOffice 5.0 available in the first post. See also the langpacks section to set LibreOffice in your language. If your language is not in the list, please either request a pet package here or download the debs from the LibreOffice site (you can also create a pet package for your language and post it here to addit to the list, see instructions in the first post).
