I have been trialling Slimpup which runs Openbox, and I have no icons or menus of any kind on the desktop. Pic 1 shows the normal Slimpup desktop and pic 2 shows what I have changed it to.

Both of them confuse the heck out of the family...

@ Greengeek - Lol! That confuses the heck out of me too! It also scares me a little. :)

:D Hello,
Precision is a test ATM.. The purpose was to test my 3.6.4-puppyluvr 1000hz kernel.. Should have built on a "known build" which for me are Lupu and Squeeze.. I have network trouble in Precision, and IDK yet if it is kernel or Precise related.. :? Had some "looped filesystem" errors during woof concerning /usr/lib and /lib being in the same path as usr/lib/gnu-linux-386 so I dont if I trust the woof...
So I will woof up a Squeeze with it and see...
If it is OK then I will release it, and the kernel pet/sources..
Then fix Precision.. And finish Trekpup... And fix Archpup..
And post my espeak and "talking" wbar .pets, and the Trek theme stuff, and......
I`ll post a list in the Puppyluvrs Crap thread...

been a while so heres another

Nowadays, my puppy is very simple... just a tiny conky and tint.
No icons (as I launch apps with openbox's shortcuts or dmenu).
Im very anxious on "colours changes" lately, so my wallpaper wont last there long time, and terminal colors either: both changes "randomly".

Still havent had time to redo my lxpanel yet... Been trying to get Cairo-Dock to work for me, but its just not compiling properly.
Anywho decided to take a break and play some games.
So I fired up Sins of a Solar Empire - Rebellion and had some fun.

Decided to show a pic of it to show that puppy can be massively strong!
Nothing like running Win7 inside Puppy. Who's your daddy now Mr. Gates? ;)
if you're wondering yes, I also have an android VM running as well.

:D Hello,
Even the 2.3/2.1 hack build  in Lupen uses more resources, and more libs, than Compiz does...
But that is IN Compiz, IN GL mode..
In Openbox, no GL, it is still the top.....
And it requires so much dep stuff..
So un-Puppy...
But,,,, Man is it pretty.. 8)
Bounce on hover..
Fireworks on click..
But even in non GL mode, it is incredibly useful and "ergonomic" IE User friendly...
What improvements does 3 offer?
