We now have a screen brightness control tray applet for EasyOS:

Thanks for this, Barry. I have been, since version 2.0, using SCT (after installing SCT, of course) via making simple /usr/share/application/SCT-on.desktop (SCT 2300) and /usr/share/application/SCT-off.desktop (SCT 5500) in /usr/share/applications, and then making jwmtray buttons in by modding /root/.jwmrc-tray.BarryK wrote:We now have a screen brightness control tray applet for EasyOS:

It'll be nice to finally have a working tray applet instead of doing all that and especially have to be built-in for version of EasyOS going forward.
P.S. This last version of EasyOS solved all bluetooth problems I had, thanks for it too!

EasyOS 2.2.9 is out, see blog post:
https://bkhome.org/news/202002/easyos-v ... eased.html
The faster bootup is great.
Esmourguit has sent me recent French translations that are not in this release. Held that off, as we need to be certain that translations for easyPup do not conflict, as I posted about here:
https://bkhome.org/news/202002/internat ... sypup.html
If for any reason you experience issues with acpid, you could try renaming the scripts in /etc/init.d, like this:
...so that acpid starts before dbus-daemon. I might do this for the next release of EasyPup.

USB Mouse bug
Welcome. This is my first post here.
I want to report a somewhat irritating bug, that can be frustrating for quite normal users - exactly, a USB mouse is not recognized at bootup, altrough after plugging again, the mouse is responding in a normal way.
Here is my log:
https://paste.linux.pizza/?850df6c35d62 ... ZE9u/NdiY=
and here is website for my model of mouse:
https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/pe ... xornet-ii/.
Unfortunately, we can find nothing more than Windows configuration program on that site, so I cannot bring up nothing more to resolve this issue.
Thanks for Answer.
PS. Where can I find the forum for translation purposes?

Urgent kernel panic 2.2.9.1
To Barry,
Oh ****
Re 2.2.9.1 urgent, when booting to run in ram & disable drives mode,
screen fills & ends in kernel panic.
The only way to reset laptop is to slide out the battery.
Otherwise booting in normal mode is ok.
Please investigate.
Regards, Rodney.
