I forgot I'm using a development version of sfsmanager. The one that comes with 710 is probably too old to show the kodi sfs, which actually sits in the contrib section: http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/contri ... _64-45.sfs

edit: the new SFS Manager solved this issue.

A little tip that others may appreciate as much as me.

To make Kodi open with 'Favourites' pop-up as home, create a file called "autoexec.py" in /root/.kodi/userdata/ containing the following:

Code: Select all

import xbmc
xbmc.executebuiltin('XBMC.ActivateWindow(10134)')

To be honest I didn't test the binary addons with this build. They're still stuffed in the download folder for 710.

The addons sfs appears to still work fine with Fatfog64-720 / Kodi 17.6.

Here is a standalone install file for the 'Inputstream.adaptive' addon for Kodi 17.6 (Fatdog64-800). It is required for 1080p playback in YouTube and other video addons.

Kodi 18.4 is available as an SFS for Fatdog-80x. You can install it from the SFS manager located in Fatdog Control Panel or download the SFS directly from the contributed SFS page on ibiblio.

Special thanks to jake29 for help with testing this SFS, and for providing an update package of the kodi input adaptive addon. The addon is included, so you need not install it but you still need to enable it to take advantage of it (with youtube, for instance -- jake29 wrote instructions about this).

===========================================
How to enable 1080p (or higher) playback in Kodi's YouTube Add-on:
===========================================

Firstly: Enable InputStream Adaptive add-on.

Add-ons > My add-ons > VideoPlayer InputStream - Check 'Ignore Display Resolution' is disabled in add-on's settings

YouTube > Settings > General

(1) Video Quality - ignored when using MPEG-DASH
(2) Always ask for the video quality - enable to always choose quality

YouTube > Settings > MPEG-DASH

(1) Use MPEG-DASH - enable
(2) Use for videos - enable
(3) Video Quality: Choose Adaptive (WEBM/VP9) or specify preference (1080p) (1440p) (2160p (4K))
(4) HDR - optional
(5) Use for livestreams - optional
(6) Install InputStream Helper - select to install

Note: Resolution can be confirmed via 'cog' icon (settings) during video playback, Video settings

No Music Visualizations are included in the latest build (18.4), so here is shadertoy's spectrum. Looks good and is light on cpu.

Tip: After installing, go to Add-ons > My add-ons > Look and feel > Visualisation > Shadertoy (enable)

Download: kodi.binary-addons-visualization.shadertoy-18.4-x86_64-802.txz
