Normally there's animation feature in Corel Xara.
But in this XaraLx-0.7r1785-Lucid.pet version there's no animation feature.
Thank for your question.

XaraLx is an abandoned port of Xara Xtreme to Linux... whatever group was doing it stopped (for reasons unknown to me) in ~2006 IIRC, and I'm afraid they never quite finished.

The full version is probably available for purchase somewhere... but it's Windows-only. Maybe it runs in WINE?

Sorry about your troubles... if you can find me something similar that does what you want, I'll try and include it.

I've got some interesting ideas floating through my head for Vinnie RC2 :) stay tuned...

Thank you for your kindness. I don't have time to test your jumbo Puppy yet.
Would you please make a smaller version, <300 MB, with KDE & Dolphin?
I think it's the best window & file manager in Linux.

Happy New Year 2014 to you.

:D Hello,
If you want some ideas on what to add to Vinnie, take a look at PAW.

And ignore the lack of response, it takes time.

problem with Google Chrome

Downloaded and tried it. Everything works fine with the exception that Google Chrome browser "CANNOT" recognise Chinese characters. Chinese character websites shows mess up "#X$##X" and totally unreadable. Is it possible something is missing ?

Thank you, Puppus... there may someday be another Vinnie. *I* certainly hope so! I'm waiting until I know what I'm doing, though, and that will be quite a while...

vflower, I know I'm a little late -- but that happened to me on Windows as well as on Puppy. It's something to do with how the page is made, not anything with the browser itself AFAIK. Some pages do it, some don't, just how it is...

Why Libre Office in a Graphics Puppy ?

Why Libre Office in a Graphics Puppy ? That is the useless Fat. on test bench.

Because I thought it would be useful, and because I have learned to trust neither Abiword nor Gnumeric. If you don't want it, strip it out and use the remainder... although, speaking as an artist myself, artists do all sorts of non-artistic things as well, and LibreOffice makes a lot of those tasks simpler.

A better suggestion, produce and release your own artist-oriented Pup, and leave out LibreOffice. That would be a sorely needed addition to the list of Pups we have now. It's not even all that hard -- I just have little idea of what to put in because my art is all on non-digital media, or I use a closed-source application for which there is not yet a suitable Linux equivalent. (I have a small WinXP system, which I keep 'Net-disconnected, for that one purpose.)

On a somewhat related note -- do you have anything to offer the community other than complaints about outdated Pups...? I have not seen much of anything else from you in some time... perhaps there is a task for you, where you could be helpful. You should look for that. I do...

"Because I thought it would be useful, and because I have learned to trust neither Abiword nor Gnumeric"
but without an office suite you would have been able to add a lot of image editing apps, it does not matter.
As darry1996 says, users will find graphic applications in the office suite.
My office suites are on Windows system, because i never use them. But i will take a glance to these graphics apps.

Pelo, there is no maximum size for a Pup. There is no limit. I added everything I thought was useful.

If you don't like that I did that, strip out what you don't find useful.

Failing that, find another Pup to use.

By the way, you really should produce something other than short remarks about abandoned Pups.

:D Hello,
Don't worry about Pelo.
I know him from my group:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=59524
The Puppy Linux Users Group on Facebook.
Here's the PAW ( Puppy Artists Workshop) thread, if you want ideas on stuff to add to Vinnie! http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=40876
I have a newer, Precise based version, with kernel 4.1.0, but I'm still working on it.
Good luck with Vinnie, graphic arts deserve a special Pup!

Vinnie has been abandoned for some time, or Pelo would quite likely not be in this thread.

;)

I can't really help with graphics stuff as much as I want to. My graphic arts program is not really compatible with Linux (because Corel turns its nose up at the penguins, sadly) and most of what I do these days is with a mechanical pencil anyways.

I simply don't know what artists want and/or need from a Pup at this time.

To each their own.

Mypaint is not so common in the Puppy's family.

"There's also MyPaint, which appears to be a very powerful application for digital painting -- I'm pretty sure that, given the right drivers and such, you could use it with (for example) a Wacom Tablet, and do some VERY nifty things. It can also be used with a mouse, of course... these are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg; Vinnie's got a TON of stuff! " Vincent Van Pup 3992 launch Mypaint, what is not so common in the Puppy's family.
I will study how-to to get the best of this famous application.
Argolance, our french designer provides nice (full tested) SFS or pets to use with Vincent van Puppy
see here for version 0.72 XNview and family
Raw, what is raw ? Some rare APN camera don't process pictures, as an option. So they are huge. But of high quality.
The first user who has raw pictures at home, please inform me... ! :)

"Upup Raring 3992 Non-PAE. It'll run on basically anything " Your ISO size will prevent it to run computers with 512MB RAM ! Augras in french forum has a computers group and is looking for graphics apps to make available on these computers. He is fond of UPUP Raring, but no so big version.
