Hello to all and thank you, to all who did download LazY Puppy 2.0.1.
There have been 140 downloads of the EN-ISO and 79 downloads of the DE-ISO in the last two weeks. I am surprised on that.
So, unfortuantely i do have some bad news and some good news.
Bad news first:
LazY Puppy 2.0.1 is out of date. I am sorry about that, but there are some issues that has to be fixed. Also there are some issues with some sfs files (jack doesn't run in the LP2_AudioStudio.sfs for example).
The run-scripts are fine, so if an application doesn't run on menu entry, the run-script does (Run-Scripts button in the taskbar).
The good news is:
All known by me problems are fixed by now and i did re-work and test every sfs file (menu entry). This means, LazY Puppy 2.0.2 is on the way. LazY Puppy 2.0.2 will be Final LazY Puppy for a long time. I did post this already in the german thread, a few days ago.
I need to do some testings and if they are alright, then there would be nothing more to do for me. If there would be again a bug-fix needed (i don't belive that, currently), i will just post a .pet and the user now than can build his own LazY Puppy 2.0.3 updated version. It's now very simple and easy by the LazY Puppy Remaster Suite
All Run-Scripts are now able to run its program and submit a file to its program - so you can also build right-click options on the programs of run-scripts.
Example:
Right-Click open with VLC (mpeg file) tries to run VLC; loads the VLC sfs if program not available; downloads the sfs from the web if not already downloaded; loads the sfs; runs VLC and VLC plays the mpeg file.
SFS-Installer now has a batch function. All .pet files inside a directory can be converted to .sfs by right-click-action. All is done automatically . you just need to add the sfs-dependencies (almost none) and select the .desktop file to make a Run-Script of. So, you can convert a plenty of .pet files into .sfs in a few seconds.
Note: the better the .pet are made (.desktop file) the better works the LazY Puppy SFS P.L.U.S. wich builds the .sfs files and makes the Run-Scripts.
Remaster Suite has a new option to add files to the ISO (not into the system, only to the ISO).
LazY Puppy 2.0.2 System (05.06.2012):
100 SFS Files
- 10 of them are the LazY Puppy sfs suites(already there since 5.2.8-4, but updated)
- 90 single application sfs files (some of them containing several programs - like OO etc.)
Available Run-Scripts:
There are 226 Run-Scripts and every Run-Script executes a Program from inside the sfs So there are 226 programs available for LazY Puppy in 100 sfs files.
Some of the single sfs applications are also found inside a LazY Puppy sfs suite. Who does not want to use the sfs suites can hide the menu category or remove some menu entries from the menu using the LazY Puppy Menu Suite.
You do not need to downlaod any sfs, just run the application you want to use (Menu entry or Run-Script) and connect to the web. It downloads automatically to the LazY Puppy boot directory and runs after download.
This nice feature is possible only for one reason. The ability to upload my data to the server of
smokey01. This way i can make direct links to the files an use a modified version of the ppm download_file script to use it for my own files to let you download them the easiest way it can be - no need to start a browser, not need to click "thousands" of links.
I again want to say "thank you" to smokey01.
So everyone, who will download Final LazY Puppy 2.0.2 (in a few days) and runs an application first time (and it does download to your system) do whisper or say: thank you smokey01.

I do declare now all available files, currently available to download as "out of date". I need to upload each and every single sfs file again.
Pleas do now only download files for testings and do not use them with LazY Puppy 2.0.2
Thanks
