Vicmz I like your old_brown_wood icon .pet, but the only bug I found is when you open a partition or an optical drive it puts the icons from the former theme. I took the liberty of putting the missing images so that they get the same theme. Would you mind to add them to the .pet? Thank you and I like your work.
 It isn't a bug -- you're using Lucid, newer versions of Puppy made from the latest Woof have a simplified icon system, the missing icons are generated automatically from the basic set, showing the drive icons in a green square if they're mounted, and in a yellow square if they have a session file or if Puppy boots from there. I made Lucid-compatible versions, you'll find them attached to this message.
Regarding my work, as you know, I don't know how to make icons, I just package them.

Neon icon theme

Looks like the LaGaDesk-Bluenight theme from Wary Puppy 5.2.* was missing something...

...the USB drive icons were the same as the hard drive icons. Oops.

Monsie asked me --quite kindly-- to fix him a set of replacement icons. It wasn't a simple task, as I've never worked with images nearly that small before, AND there is a blue glow that does not translate well to vector programs. (I haven't switched over from XP yet, BTW  )

Nevertheless, I got it figured out pretty well, and Monsie seems to like what I did. I figured it would be really nice to put a post in THIS thread, however, so that everybody would be able to get to the updated icons really easily, and without having to use the Forum Search (or Wellminded Search) to try and find 'em if they wanted 'em.

So here you folks are. Er, there's two attachments. The tarball is JUST the two icons, nothing else. But I also made a PET package (Monsie didn't ask for this, I did it as a surprise) for the entire iconset with the new icons plunked in. (I really hope that PET works, I've had really lousy luck with those in the past...)

I'm afraid I can't do a preview at the moment, but I'm sure someone else can help with that ;)

Enjoy, folks!

EDIT: D'oh! Monsie's thread is here --> http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 666#652666

I really like the Sphere icon theme, but for the mounted partition - or when I mount a different partition - the icon reverts back to a different theme. Is there a quick fix for this??

Many thanks. :D

That only happens in Lucid Puppy, newer Puppy Linux have simplified icon sets. Extract the icon .pet and a .pet of an icon set that works for you, compare and see what is missing, create the missing icons by right-clicking a suitable icon then select Copy and change to the name of the missing icon, and finally rebuild the .pet. You can use don570's rightclick tools to extract and make .pet files:

Hi vicmz, thanks for the tip. I'm using 431JP, so it is an old(er) version. I'll play around with it, see what I can do.

Hi.

Looks very nice!

Already downloaded, but I need to extend them up to 111 Icons for the use in my LazY Puppy - which has some more default apps and also Icons included.

How did you made these Icons?

Can you offer something like a "frame" or "default" Icon to make such work easier to me?

Thanks

I agree! That's an wonderful mix of the two icon sets. You have an execellent eye for artistic details nilsonmorales and so I have greatly enjoyed all the displays of your icon sets and desktop shots. Keep up the terrific work for Puppy!

Cheers/Amicalement!
