As I'll be running nine, version won't matter.

We communicate via a chat dialog I'll open.

And yes, TV must be running.

I'll be back up in five and should connect within 10..

Restartin X has closed Teamviewer, but I've restarted it.
Version 10 running.
I don't see any chat dialog so far.

Will send the new ID & password ASAP.
Done.

I'm ready to connect to your PC, and I've entered the ID, but see no way to enter the password so as to connect to your PC.

The chat dialog window just disappeared.
Is it me who aught to open a new one, and how?

OK, now I'm offered a password window, but when I enter the password you gave, it says it's invalid.
Could you send the numbers in a PM?

On the TV bar up top, video and audio.. You go audio and open chat.

So this would be using my speaker [muted by connecting a headset to it and using the headset].
and...
My mic is a USB mic.
Fingers crossed it works...
Been a while since I last used the mic.

I don't see "video and audio" up top...
There's "Connection" and "Options", and neither have "video and audio".

I meant chat, as in texting. I'm not mic ready..

Have you connected? Open chat, from the middle I recall..

Something went horribly wrong.
Ended up by closing all windows...
Rebooting...
Not saving any session changes...
Hence, all your improvements [and whatever nasties those were] now lost.
Will re-run TeamViewer, version 10.

New PM sent giving latest ID & Password.

Now closing Teamviewer for the night.
See you tomorrow at 14:00 my local time [if you're available].

Yeah, seized up on my end too. I had to give it a killall -9.

Should be different today. I'll be using TV10 from another system.

I plan a quick "get in, confirm, get out" type stategy.. One where you can save and reboot.

If we've gotta chat, stick to the TV chatbox, OK.

Leave a copy of my script in /tmp. I know where to find FF.

I've downloaded your remove script and unpacked as "/mnt/home/00/semme/remove-firefox_slacko-5.7.sh".
I'll also copy that script to the /tmp folder after I've booted, and before you connect.
I'm ready to go right now if you'd like; otherwise we could go at 14:00 my time.
I'll also send a PM with the password right before we go.

OK. go with 12:15 my local time.
I'll now run TV and send you the numbers in a PM.

3 windows needed rather than 3 tabs.

I'll now save the changes and reboot.

3 windows needed instead of 3 tabs.
No Firefox icon in the menu.
Otherwise seems OK.

I'll save the changes and reboot.
---------------------------------------------------

Oops...
It wouldn't reboot using "Menu->Shutdown->Reboot", SO...
I used "CTRL+Alt+backspace" to drop to a command prompt, but got none, SO...
Used the power button to power-off and power-on.
It rebooted back into Slacko OK, but didn't scan&fix the "Partition File System" [PFS].
All looks almost OK as before.

That's right, I forgot and may have an answer sometime later.

The icon you have, but may need to be relocated. Gimme a few..

I notice the browse icon gives me a single Firefox default window, whereas...

The "Menu->Internet->Firefox" entry gives me the 3 tabs [addresses are correct, but windows wanted].

[Since I reconfigured] A Thunderbird link now gives me a single FF window open at the post. :D

Now rebooting OK.
