Be careful installing wbar.
Can break imlib2..

To Xanada...

I tried sns_mod.tar.gz and the front window could be translated by
momanger . The info window is controlled by
/usr/sbin/ipinfo which has been gettext'd by Barry.

However a yellow window popped up while using momanager and I couldn't get rid of it
(unless I restarted X)

Hi puppyluvr,
thanks for your test. At the moment it is a month that use wbar not having problems. I used this lib:
imlib2-1.4.4-1.el6.rf.x86_64
What kind of problem you encountered? If you have any other lib to propose we replace it ...
However, the discussion has moved here with the latest apps:

Hi Don, It is the only solution for now. I do not understand what depends. On the other distros there are no problems.

A more powerful picture viewer --> XnView

I worked on improving the XnView package --> I put
configuration file in /root and made the icons appears in right click
and made a right click for folders

Available here : mydrive.ch

Username: porteus@don570
Password: porteus

_________________________________________________

By the way ---> to make icons appear in a right click menu
I had to change permissions using my pinstall.sh script
# make icons show in recent puppies
cd /usr/local/apps
chmod -R 755 *
exit 0

I don't understand how to update the flash. Is this done from the package manager or from the adobe site? I've tried both and can't make head nor tails of it.

I was looking for the source gtkdialog 0.8.4 and I found that it can be found in ibiblio.com

... but to my surprise I found that Barry has a compiled version available
at ibiblio as well. For some reason he didn't include
gtkdialog-0.8.4-r514-x86_64.pet in april 64.

http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributio ... es-common/

Ok, thanks but don't works... .pet broken (for me)
Yet, I re-packed gtkdialog and now from terminal all works :D

Code: Select all

# gtkdialog --version
gtkdialog version 0.8.4 r514 (C) 2003-2007 Laszlo Pere, 2011-2012 Thunor
Built with support for: GTK+ 2, Glade, VTE.
Please, test needed..
Later I try in a Quirky clean and install pMusic 4.6
To achieve this, you must install the following packages:
ibpng16-16_1.6.16-1_amd64.pet
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz9e78 ... sp=sharing
vte2-0.28.2-6.ram0.98.x86_64.pet

Aha! I figured out the Flash! The newer version wasn't working with the April32 I have installed on USB stick. Installed an older one and it is working perfectly.

Yes, I have had sound problems with YouTube before. Chances are real good that it's only temporary and has nothing to do with Quirky. YouTube does that sometimes. It's almost always on their end when the sound goes out and I just have to wait for it to return. Once, it was my fault, as I accidentally hit the mute button on YouTube and all went silent and I did not know why. After a brief investigation, I found I just flubbed it and muted the sound. So be sure you haven't just muted the sound by accident.

I was able to get my usb stick to boot with a simple entry in grub's menu.lst

Code: Select all

title Boot from sdc (Lexar USB Flash Drive )
  map (hd2) (hd0)
  map (hd0) (hd2)
  map --hook
  chainloader (hd0)+1

This will find the small fat partition on the stick which I believe is (hd2)
Note I have two hard disks so the USB stick is (hd2)
2 is used rather than 3 because counting of disks starts from 0

Hello @Billtoo. I like the system monitor you install on the desktop of all of your presentations. It would be nice if this was a Menu item in all PUPs, OOTB.

@BarryK has several install procedures: which did you use to generate the bootable SDcard?

Thanks in advance
