I've swapped in the kernel from the latest Stretchpup, also from LxPupSc64.
Strange beeps persist upon waking from sleepmode...

I don't have backlight on mine.
The power app in XSlacko 4.4r24 doesn't seem to work properly. The screen's set to go off in 1 hr though it can only last for less than 10 min ...

Same behaviour, high-pitched beeps on wakeup, with various other kernels swapped in (both 3.xx and 4.xx),

Sorry for late reply
use this boot parameter in your bootloader to boot puppy without loading savefiles

Code: Select all

pfix=ram
@westwest

New iteration of X-Slacko Slim released

Changes:
* Improved package manager
* Improved sfs loading
* Uses xorg fallback driver as default driver on first boot. (fbdev for UEFI system or with framebuffer device, vesa for BIOS or without framebuffer device)
* With autoconfiguration. X-Slacko Slim resets xorg configuration to default if there is a change of videocards or monitors
* Improved startup and shutdown.
* Ability to rebuild missing cache file

@misfire, I am a new user to X-Slacko but I will not whine to you unless it is necessary.
Just forewarning you. I know that not all software will work on all hardware. My hat is still off to you for your obvious hard work.

Sincerely,

Fishman
