So you want someone else to play guinea pig?
I have not tried Alexandra with Puppy yet.
Since you're the one with the interest, take it through the motions and offer us some feedback..

If somebody knows how to make a pet of Alexandra

If somebody knows how to make a pet of Alexandra,i will try it. C'est un appel du pied. Guinea pig ? it's diificult for french to translate to english technical info, but 'guinea pig' is what exactly ?
Oh yes (reverso help me) yes that's true, i need a guinea pig. I am a simple user, not a linuxian. I progressed in Linux knowledge, but not enough to compile. So, I will run it with windows, to test if Alexendra is worth the pain.
DataCrow is an alternative, with JRE installed.

I was looking for which applications Qt 5 are available, and which ones could be of some interest in the Tahrpup repository.

It appears Tahr could run this with these few extra libs..

Yahoo! to the tune of 80+mb's worth of Qt5 libs!

Keep it on Win unless you care to "dir2sfs".

so it would be possible to run Alexandra with Tarhpup

Merci Semme.
so it would be possible to run Alexandra with Tarhpup...
MBs ? It's depends on user's interest choosing apps in spite of their size. Libre Office size does not frigthen our typists,
I checked the applications Qt5 which could be used in it Tahrpup as libraries are made available, and Alexandra was one of them.
De facto :) there are not many applications Qt5 existing, I am well afraid that developers do not develop any more under Linux..
Mageia has just included Alexandra see web site here

After you've gathered the Qt5 libs, then you can *build* it. The 64's a binary and only requires a handful.

DVDs Movies see DataCrow too

see Datacrow here
I will use Alexandra to list my videos. Data Crow lists on-line vidéos. I run it both with Slacko and Windows.
Semme, FYI Musher0 made a pet for DataCrow to avoid each user having to do it. Musher0 is a nice guy, A collaborative cousin from Canada. Thanks Musher ! :)

the qt5 in tahrpup is too old for alexandra but it works in vividpup

I suppose the 215MB Vividpup will feed the need.

Vividpup downloading for test of Alexandra. Just to change the Puppy's users multimedia Menu. There are so many Puppies...
I suppose the 215MB Vividpup will feed the need.
The only version available was Alexandra for Windows. Puppy will be the first Linux to run it ? Wait and see...
PS : I am unable to compile Alexandra.

666Philb, you make alexandra one step forward, as soon as i come back to Vivid, i try to do as you tell us.
Recording lessons for my pupils with SimpleScreenRecording and tracing them with Alexandra, with Puppy Vivid, i would be pleased.
I like this cooperating attitude to us, Puppies'users, to renew the menu with Qt applications. Thanks.
Downloads done, and files placed as you told...I suppose there is something wrong... wait and see.

All linuxians now can run and manage their own videos

All linuxians now can run and manage their own video collection excepted the poor Puppy Linux users, abandoned by all roots, no one taking from its time to make a pet for all newbies arrived, because Puppy is 64bits, and has brand new kernels, but nothing to get applications translated from Debian Or Ubuntu.
Only old applications, no need was to buy a laptop 64 bits to type letters on Libre Office
But 64 bits for movies takes advantage on 32 bits. Movies and games will be the main interest of 64 bits Puppies.
But these two are the forgotten in the heart (kernel?) of our .bin managers

Xenialdog runs Alexandra.. on my computer. I mean not only install, but does its job...
Xenialdog would not be a Puppy ? It allows its passenger to do it themselves, without Linux knowledge.. as when Puppy was a young distro for house (music)
