boost the amount of ram in a machine

Fascinating.
The video Bios boots up before the computers main bios (you have to display the bios)

Glad we sorted out this whole situation. I was wondering (might need a new thread) if using a cheap graphic card with 64 to 128 meg of video ram (are second hand cheopo 256 ram cards available as PCI or AGP yet?) can boost the amount of ram in a machine?

In other words doing the reverse of some machines which take video ram from the main ram. Could we make use of the ram in a video card?

If so a dedicated Puppy hardware machine might have some PAWltry[sic] amount of Ram but super fast ram in the graphic section . . .

Maybe someone will Czech (check)?

Man this is a radical idea!
Think how much faster puppy could run, and boot?
possably 2 to 3 times faster.
think of the possibilities for small intigrated single board puppys, using
the very fast video ram :D

What can you compile in your graphics card?

The sub $100 PC will be rather efficient
that means fast and reliable and therefore of use
in more places than the intended market

Another possibility is the playstation 3 from Sony which will be available with Linux on a seperate HD. Anyone know which Linux?

Maybe Sony are still looking for that Puppy?
