HI,

i've a leixen vv 898 dual band radio and linux puppy lucid 5.2.8.

I've download the original programming software

http://www.miklor.com/VV898/software/VV_898_USER_V103.exe

and running it with Wine i've created the file to load in eeprom ..

I've connected the original cable from pc to rtx and try to read/load info's.

http://www.miklor.com/VV898/VV-Drivers.html

But a message say " impossible initialize port" .

The program use standard com 1 to 4 and a usb prolific driver for redirect to usb port.

The prolific driver it's embedded in linux puppy and recognize the cable , but no connection with radio it's estabilshed.

Can be a problem of speed of port?

May be i due setting via console some parameters (why?)

Can you help me?

Many thanks in advance
