Kernel 5.4.4 bumped to 5.4.6 in my install detailed 2 posts up. No hitches or glitches noted. As there, all system checks good and daily use fine to date. Mitigations unchanged from 5.4.4.
Thanks,

As with the 64b LxPupSc, LxPupSc-20.01+0-T-k64 installed to my Fujitsu S761, both as a pristine install, up through setting up timezones, firewall, SNS connection, touchpad configuration, adding in rightclicks and desktop drive icons from the options tab in Change Appearance; and as an update to my 19.09 +7+ frugal Grub4Dos install to SSD on the Fujitsu. Boot, system checks, video speed, mem/SSD throughput all good and unchanged in both the pristine install and the update. Posting from QtWebBrowser in the pristine install now. Fresh savefile created and tested with a reboot. The 32b Desktop Drive icon pet installed correctly in the 32b pristine and the previously installed one in the 32b update also worked correctly. No multimedia tests in either the 64b or 32b as yet. So far so good this year on this one:)
Cheers,

Build Date: Thu Jan 9 11:19:15 GMT 2020 | Standard swap into my kernel test LxPupSc 20.01 install in my 'Experimental' directory, a bump from 5.4.6. Absolutely nothing to report on the initial runs, either quirks or changes in normal use from the 5.4.6 install.
Cheers,

All system level checks good, video FPS and mem/SSD throughput good, idle CPU and mem use remain excellent. Normal use, just web'n'taxes, unchanged from 5.4.10 and is fine. Mitigation (with current intel microcode loaded) shows: Code: | itlb_multihit:KVM: Vulnerable
l1tf:Mitigation: PTE Inversion
mds:Mitigation: Clear CPU buffers; SMT vulnerable
meltdown:Mitigation: PTI
spec_store_bypass:Mitigation: Speculative Store Bypass disabled via prctl and seccomp
swapgs barriers and __user pointer sanitization
spectre_v2:Mitigation: Full generic retpoline, IBPB: conditional, IBRS_FW, STIBP: conditional, RSB filling
tsx_async_abort:Not affected | I see 13 but I'll skip it for 14 in an unbridled display of irrationality
Thanks,

Disappointing PCMANFM behaviour - if you rename a folder in filesystem root ( / ) folder, doesn't auto refresh - need to press F5 (had to google to find that out), or you can't access it once renamed. A workaround is to move folder to non- / folder, rename & move to / folder.

As promised, 5.4.12 bumped to 5.4.14 in my LxPupSc 20.01 install referenced above. Absolutely nothing to report on the updated install.
On a side note, I think I am finally going to have to update the Bay Trail desktop at the farm from X-Slacko 4.4 No banking or business transactions at all on that but some sites, Craigslist in particular, no longer support some needed functions with the latest browsers I can run on that. I will use LxPupSc which I know and which runs well on that box but the trick is to keep the visuals and layout unchanged. Multiple users but the main user is both colorblind and not a computer person so I can't rock the boat much there. I'll check when I do it but last I looked the X-Slacko had been up for 2 yrs with no reboot so it sure isn't a lack of robustness that forces my hand
Cheers,

5.5 is out but sticking with LTS 5.4 until aufs-5.5 appears.
BarryK has had problems with 5.4 and has reverted to 4.19 - anybody having problems with 5.4??
