Wake up on lid open doesn't work in Linux puppex 4.0.4

#1 Post by jimmyjoe »

Hi everyone. I thought somebody else might have also encounter this:
when I upgraded from Precise Puppy to Puppex (based on Tahrpup, kernel 4.0.4) I left sleep/wake up config without any change. After adding necessary kernel modules it started working, almost. My laptop (Dell Latitude E6410) sleeps on lid close but doesn't properly wake up on lid open. LED lights come and disk seems to spin some but the screen is dead. When this happens I can't do anything but hard reset, which sometimes causes problems with some disk files afterwards.
As several months passed I thought a new kernel version would appear, but there is none available. I would appreciate some guidance on this.

Hello jimmyjoe.

Which is proof it's sound asleep! ;) On my netbook, on pretty much any
distro, I don't know why but I have to press the reset button a little to
get the desktop back.

BFN.

Hi @Musher0
Which/where is the "reset button"? Do you mean the "Esc" key?

It's the power button, actually.
