Howto mount a ufs partition from a freebsd disk?

#1 Post by flopsymopsy »

The following command did not work

mount -t ufs -o ufstype=44bsd /dev/hda1 /mnt/cdrive

It returned

Mounting /dev/hda1 on /mnt/cdrive failed: No such device

Does Puppy2.02 have the filesystem support for mounting ufs partition compiled in?

Thanks for any advice in advance.......

i think bsd uses device names something like:

/dev/ad0s1

this would be the first partition (slice) of the first ide drive ... the equivalent of Linux's /dev/hda1
