Hello Mike,
I compiled a different statically qt version for Slacko 560 and 570.
Now SMplayer should work OOTB in both versions.

Ah. Okay. I'll have a look at them. I'm planning on setting up a new USB frugal install of either 560 or 570 in the near future (haven't made my mind up yet!), so I'll get back to you as & when and let you know how I get on with them.

Cheers!

(19.1.0 just installed into UPup Raring; running nicely. Thanks again.)

Cheers, Norgo. Running nicely in Slacko 560, where I am at the moment.....and probably soon in the rest of the kennels, too!

@ norgo:-

Any chance of one of your famous 'static' builds, dear boy? They're so much easier to use, I tell you.....

(*Pretty please? With 'sprinkles' on?? *)

No rush, mate. As & when....

Thank you, norgo. Working a treat in Slacko 560, and the rest of the kennels before long.

Much appreciated, mate. Very kind of you.

There is something wrong with the Search Function in Smtube.......but you can do a Trick to make it work again.

Instead of typing into the normal Search-field .....go down to the Bottom of the Smtube Startpage ....look for :
"Now you can fix the "Daily Limit Exceeded" problem by using a personal Youtube API key. Click here for more info."
Ignore it .

Use instead:
"Alternatively you can visit YouTube.com."
(click Link)
another (Youtube Startpage will appear .....click the Search Icon (right on the Top )
and type in your Search Item.
Business (almost ) as usual .

If you're running Chrome OS - on a Chromebook - you can't install 'normal' apps/programs like you would for Linux. Chrome OS is tightly tied into the Google ecosphere, and is pretty much designed for people who spend all their time online. As such, it can only install stuff from the Chrome webstore, in 'standard' trim.....although there are ways to make it run Linux, if you don't mind seriously digging into the guts of the thing.

These all appear to have been built for the Slacko (Slackware compatible) puppies. Bionicpup is an Ubuntu compatible puppy.
