SMplayer 17.1.0

Briefly tested on LxPupSc 17.01.28. I converted the pet to a SFS and loaded it with SFS-Load-on-the-fly, and set SMplayer as the mediaplayer default using the PuppyApps Default application chooser. Plays DVDs perfectly, the equalizer is great to have. Setting all default values at 90% greatly improves the sound output on this Fujitsu S6520 laptop. Then the speaker volume sliders bracket a useful range and full volume is indeed full volume. SFS loaded and unloaded a couple of times, fullscreen works, no glitches seen in my short test.
Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.

Pelo

my version was set on Pulse audio

#62 Post by Pelo »

MyGod i am late, my version is only 14.9.0 provided by PuppyBang 6.0.3. I shall update it soon What would be nice is that the Puppy Supplier offers POU which updates all that has to be updated
My Goal is to inform that my version was set on Pulse audio. After long time i found that was what prevent SMplayer to play.
Pls check with new versions. I think nobody thought about that.
puppylinuxworld will be informed for the next releases.

Hi !
Smplayer is a fine App .

Using Debian Dog 32
Formerly had Problems with playing Hd and Ultra Hd Videos in my single Core 1 gig Ram Machine........could solve this Problem as follow .....:

installed mplayer2.......set in > Preferences>General>Multimedia Engine >/usr/bin/mplayer
since then all Hd and even Ultra Hd Videos are running light as a Feather
........fantastico :D :D :D
