Thanks L18L.
But this may have missed the 702 window.
I'll keep it for future builds.

just downloaded the latest iso and burned to CD booted ok but no touchpad control at all with the mouse pointer frozen dead centre of the screen - I can use the keyboard and ctrl alt backspace to get to bash...
my machine is an Acer Aspire ES 512 series laptop which I believe uses a Synaptics touchpad
Incidentally I can boot from a usb drive using Knoppix 7.2 with no problems as it recognises the touchpad so I can use the mouse
any workaround for this?

Hello skyblaze
I have just set up a frugal install of 702 on my Acer Aspire 5552,
and the touchpad is working OK here (after using the function keys (Fn + F7) to enable it).
I don't get on with touchpads, so i usually disable it.

Thanks for the Final, everything is working fine.
Just a small leftover (PRename) in /etc/control-panel-applets renders a blank icon on 'Utilities' tab.
Greetings!

Congratulations!
I'm happy to report that changing to 4.3.3 kernel in 702 final, solved my problem with the USB stick not being recognised.
However, I could not find any wl module for this kernel so I do not have wifi. Is there any or coming up soon?

Oh well, here is the wl module for the 4.3.3 kernel (md5: 43b75d06a5a1425bfd269fadb18de876) and as this post shows, it works.
Needs to be placed in /usr/share/broadcom (sorry too lazy to refresh my slack package building abilities )

702final: there have been a few problems.
First run liveCD - no cursor, back to terminal and xwin - reappears.
Old chesnut FP playing up again in both SM & FF. Default v.11.....559 already loaded but doesn't display BBC iPlayer.
Otherwise, nice, fast and clean.
Later.

@skyblaze: in control panel -> utilities, there is a "bug report info collector" near the end of the page. Run it, check the file it generates, remove those that you don't want to share, and then share the rest to me. You can send by PM, or upload here in this post.
EDIT: If you PM it to me, expect slow response. I'm travelling. If you post to the thread, there other Fatdog community members can help you too.
@SFR: yeah, I removed the prename in the last minute. I know the one that generated the file and has fixed it. Fortunately no harm done.
@mavrothal: Thank you for the wl driver. I'll upload it to the kernel repo.
@Sage: I can't reproduce the problem. I just launch a pristine copy of 702 (using sandbox), then launch seamonkey-spot, and attempt to view the iplayer. It works. I'm watching the New England autumnal colour change now. Perhaps just a temporary glitch from the BBC side?
@Billtoo - thanks for testing.
@Catdude - I usually run with external USB mouse too. My touchpad is a "clickpad" (seems to become more common these days) and I absolutely detest it.

Why fatdog64 does not allow full installation? Personal storage runs out quickly despite 4gb installed.
Great distro.
