installing Firestarter in puppy!

has anyone did the abov .. carnt get it to run

Could you tell us what steps you took and any error messages that were generated.

i think it requires gnome libraries (and other dependencies)

the Debian package has a list of required dependencies (quite a long list):

when i run ./configure its says perl 5.x required not found . i have perl instlled and its working fine. i have the perl installation directory in the $PATH varibale. but it always gives the same error.

That would be the pupget perl 5.8, and Puppy 1.0.3, right?
