Puppy doesn't see RAM upgrade?

I have upgraded my ram from 128mb to 256. Would puppy detect this ram upgrade "automamtically?" I have not seen any difference in the "ram meter" dockapp on icewm-ultra. On ubuntu, i have to add mem=256m on grub menu in before it can detect the upgrade. Thanks.

You can find out how much real memory Puppy thinks is installed via the Memory tab of Xproc (Menu>Control Panel>Xproc system information).
