ps how to stop autamatic updates of firefox?

Do not know what version of Firefox you have.
In all versions that I have used.
In preferences there is option to select how updates are handled.
In Firefox V57.0.4 this is in preferences>General

look in the preferences there you can disable the automatic updates to firefox

You can't do what you've just described in JWM, can you?

I've no idea, really, as I haven't used JWM in ages (all of the Pups and Dogs I run with are Xfce or Lxde environments) - but it's a really good idea that someone proficient in pokin' around inside JWM might know how to do (may be worth a thread of it's own...?). I think a toggle/checkbox for hiding the titlebar when maximized (if it's indeed possible) would be a great addition to the existing JWM GUI tweak tool(s)... It's really handy when working with limited screen space.

Of course, mikeslr's above mentioned F11 fullscreen toggle can be a useful solution, too.

Find these entries;

app.update.auto

app.update.enabled

app.update.staging.enabled

... and double-click on them to set them all to "false".

The same can be done for other updates that you would like to turn off, such as;

extensions.update.enabled or

extensions.update.autoUpdateDefault
