I had used puppy-linux.org to access this here forum for a very long time.

Tonight I found puppy-linux.org not longer working but offered for a sale. It is expired 2016-05-19 and subject to removal or deletion.

Try it without the dash between puppy and linux.

Code:
puppylinux.org

Try http://murga-linux.com/puppy/, not .org. It used to be .org but a malicious former forum member bought that. If it's available, John Murga might be interested.

Hi.

puppylinux.org goes to Barry's page (I think it is?) - as usual.
puppy-linux.org goes to http://puppy-linux.org/?reqp=1&reqr= and that's new.

It always has redirected me to http://murga-linux.com/puppy/.

See attached images.

Thanks.

As I understand it
Whenever some one goes to distrowatch
and clicks on a distro to go to its web page
It counts on the meter that ranks "popularity"
Only one click per isp address per day is counted
I go to distrowatch and then click on puppy and go to the forum
that way I get to check distrowatch for new stuff
and hopefully add to the puppy poll

anyway correct me if I'm wrong

If you are serious about the distrowatch ranking, you want to spread that link everywhere and try to get it to rank as high as possible on Google. Should be on every page of every Puppy website.

Type "Ubuntu" into Google. The Distrowatch page is on the first page of Google search results. That didn't happen by accident. Somebody put some effort in to make that happen.

Same if you type in "Debian".

"Fedora linux" the distrowatch page is the first entry on second page.

"Mint linux" the distrowatch page is the 4th result.

Type "Puppy Linux" into Google. The Distrowatch page doesn't appear on the first 8 pages, maybe a lot more than that.

Is it worth the trouble to play that game? Not as far as I am concerned, but ymmv.
