Test on Acer C720 |
|
Hi mistfire,
Tested on Acer C720 (chromebook).
- no audio
- no touchpad
Would have expected this new kernel to support at least the C720 audio.
Thats why I tested this one... Touchpad is a tricky one...
wifi works (frisbee), keyboard, ext. mouse, battery indicator
booted right to the desktop.
bluetooth not tested.
Looks familiar (not much changed since Xslacko-slim 4.2R37 from the looks).

@kuman11 yes it is
@Volhaut may I know the name and model of the sound cards and touchpad? Try to swap kernel file and zdrv file with another from other puppies just rename the zdrv file to zdrv_ xslacko_4.4.sfs
By the way at first X-Slacko Slim was looked unchanged however it was improved under the hood.

audio and touchpad on C720 |
|
Hi mistfire,
Audio needs pulseaudio, the HW is intel.
Touchpad needs intel synaptic, and uses a Cypress chip.
I haven't spend the effort to solve it (I must be capable to do this myself), using PPM.
And after that make a custom keyboard layout for chromebooks are missing the function keys F1...F12.
Once I have it working, I'll let you know.

R31 |
|
hi mistfire,
It is some time ago since I actively played with X-slack slim.
Last one I looked at was R21 I think.
Installed R31 on my EEE-PC X101CH and it runs flawless.
Used frisbee to connect to wifi (sns does not work well on this EEE-PC).
Gnome player works well on this hardware. Playing 720p with video acceleration (not possible on this HW).
Will install some packages, and try some more.
Anything you would like me to focus on..?
Feels good to be back....

Bluetooth |
|
Hi mistfire,
The X101CH has an Atheros AR9285 wireless/Bluetooth chip.
This is recognized (using lspci)
The ATH9K driver is loaded (kernel modules)
But there is no Bluetooth ("no adapters plugged in").
Any tips how I can debug..?
Regards,
Volhout
