An Open Source Protectorate is strengthened. These companies pledge to present a safe environment for Open Source to florish.

To those corporates that are big on suing
Oracle will need to beware as future unfolds. Apple too. There's a Chinese firm also who is now behaving similarly to Oracle-Apple.

The new (last decade) form of extortion.
Traditionally, they buy up companies who have patents, then turn and sue users of those patents.
