SKYPE has changed its operations model
I don't exactly know what's PLDF but I can say that skype 4.3.0.37 is still working in my puplets. I have got working skypeforlinux-alpha in xenialpup64:

Mike Walsh has got working skypeforlinux-alpha in tahr64. But I am going to not replace skype and all cosed source softwares (see also google hangouts...) in next installations of puplets: I think an android wi-fi tablet is more suitable for all these kinds of communications tasks. I'll use use my puppy pc in basic but more common tasks reserving an android tablet for closed source and "tricky" softwares. I do not use windows but android is coming as a replacement.
