How do I add ppa's to my repository upgrades?

How do I add ppa's to my repository upgrades?

#1 Post by mcduling »

I have installed an app from the ubuntu repository that has a ppa for daily updates. How can I add the ppa to my system so I can keep it updated? In ubuntu I would normally do the following:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dansmith/chirp-snapshots
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chirp-daily

Can I do something similar in puppy?

The help file April is referring to is here on most (some, many, all?) Puppies.

TBH, I've never been able to successfully do it.

Edit: Here is a link to a modified, prototype PPM that is supposed to be easier to add repositories to.

I couldn't figure it out either, but didn't try very hard.

This is a major Puppy weakness.
