Well, 1st online Big Bank was hit over the weekend: Tesco

Deep in our puppy souls somewhere, we've all been wonderin' when the 1st strike against online big banks would hit in Western Europe and/or North America. Looks like we might have our first target, 20,000 U.K. online accounts at Tesco known to be hit, probably the tally of accounts will reach much higher and the bank is simple trying to not start a panic amongst its customers in terms of how its online security setup is viewed:

Which bank and/or which country will be next? Germany? Canada? United States? Italy? Australia? How many of these breaches will it take before all banks with online operations wake up and begin to scramble for secure 2FA? This means not via texts, or phone apps, or any garbage like that, but via token devices like Yubikey 2FA-----which I've brought up before in this section; Yubikey (and anything similar) is the future, and Yubikey is something you can use now----Google now uses/requires it for all its employees and Google also lets you, as a Gmail customer, secure your Gmail nearly 100% against un-authorized intrusion. This means even if hackers (or internal employees) get ahold of your email and passwords, it will still be virtually impossible for them to get into your email because they don't have access to the physical Yubikey that you have. Do yourself a favor, and go read about it.....if you care about securing access to your email----since email is still where your online bank and other organizations insanely send emails for re-setting sensitive passwords----then get yourself up to speed about upping your online security game :!: .
