Puppy & Intel 82801DB-ICH4 AC97 sound chip (Solved)

First, I'm sorry. I'm sure this is covered in Hardware, but I want to put my recent experience into a new thread.
I have a Gateway 3522GZ Centrino laptop with the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 AC97 sound chip. Using Alsa Sound Wizard setup makes like it's found, installed and made work the Intel sound.
I tried this solution:
"Something is missing there. To make sure everything is in place, let's go to ubuntu packages and download n' install the following debs:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-upda ... sound-base
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/alsa-base
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/alsa-utils
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/libasound2
and for good measure, maybe this one:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/module-init-tools
... just remembered about *glibc vulnerability*, if you haven't done so already, first install these two essential packages:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/libc-bin
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise-updates/libc6"
The last two, installed first, broke my install. The others, tried without the libc updates did nothing.
I own a history of Puppy Linuxes and tried every one from 3.01 through the major 4s and still no sound for the Intel chip. Different versions of Alsa Sound Wizard. Even one with the note that the file was taken from Ubuntu in 2011 by BK.
What I believe is that the driver Puppy has used for all these years is not the correct one. No major changes in any of the Puppys tried regarding Alsa, no sound for the Intel based AC 97 chip.
This means that all laptops (yeah, I know they're old) using the Intel 82801DB-ICH4 are affected by the silence from a goof made many years ago.
Anybody?
