Subject description: using hiawatha

Hey Smile I'm just posting to see if anyone knows WHY this happens:
(both webservers running hiawatha)

Machine nr1: Old stationary PC. Running puppy slacko 6.0.3
If I put a large file in a folder, (larger than 2-3gb) the file is NOT listed in the index. (via browser)
It IS visible via samba/network - but not in any browser - the file is simply invisible. (from internet)

Machine nr2: Even older laptop running puppy tahr - No problem - large files are listed in index.

For a while I thaught that it had something to do with the filesystem, but the old stationary machine was formatted with ext4 - slacko full install.

The laptop (where large files IS listed) is ext2 with frugal install tahr 6.0.5

I emailed Hugo Leisink (creator of Hiawatha) about this because I thaught it might be a setting in hiawatha, but he said there is no limit on filesizes in hiawatha.

So, from my point of view, it seems that a webserver running tahr lists large files in index, but slacko doesnt?

Just to be absolutely sure it wasnt an issue with the harddrive/different pc s, I started hiawatha from another old pc with both slacko and tahr frugal installed.
And the same thing occurs. I put a large 2.3gb iso file in a folder and I access it from a browser - Its invisible/not listed in index when hosted from slacko - reboot into tahr - start hiawatha and then it IS listed.

I have run my webserver hosting my site on a pc with slacko6.0.3 for over a year, and I recently discovered this problem when I put a large (4gb) mp4 file on there for streaming on a webpage - and it wouldnt load. And then I saw that it wasnt even listed in the index.

So, of course now I use tahr6.0.5 - no problem - but I'm still wondering why? Anybod got any clues ?

4 GB is close to the 32-bit limit. Are both Puppies 32-bit? And what filesystem is formatted?

Both puppies are 32-bit - On the machine i tested on today its formatted with ext4 - and I set up the webserver folder to /mnt/home/webserver on both slacko and tahr so its hosted in the same place - and like I said - Files are listed in index (http://ip.to.machine/files/) - and if I start hiawatha using tahr - the 2.3gb file is there but NOT in slacko.
