Tor Browser

#1 Post by MichaelT »

Hi Puppyians,

I am running Lucid Puppy 5.2.8.7 20150702. Firefox 45.7.0 ESR runs fine. Tor 5.5.5 runs fine as long as I don't use the option to bypass my ISP is monitoring.

So when I read on the TOR site that Tor 6.5 Hardened is based on Firefox 45.7 ESR, I downloaded the tarball. However, I couldn't get it to work because it doesn't like being run as root. If someone can point in the direction as to how to modify the startup script.

Better still, if Oscar can generate this version of Tor, I sure appreciate it.

Cheers.

I uploaded Tor Browser Bundle 6.5 a couple of days ago and have bumped the thread but it might not run in Lucid. It does work in Wheezy which has glibc 2.13 and later Puppies.

Hi Oscar,

Find a copy of "glibc-2.22.90-36.fc24.i686.pet". Resolved all missing libraries and still no joy. Guess I better upgrade.

Thanks
