I know that when Puppy boots in mode 13 (usually for USB), it runs in a temporary filesystem and writes back to the save file on reboot. However, am I right in believing that it also writes back to the file at periodic intervals, around every 30 minutes?
If so, then what I need to know is how/where it does that so I can disable it. Also, is it a simple command that I can run anytime?
If not, then I'm fine.
Thanks.

Yes, it's every 30 minutes. That "how puppy works" page (sorry, don't have the link) describes the process, although the last time I looked at it, it said 30 seconds, which Barry said he would fix when he had time.
Good luck on finding that script. You might try a search for "mode 13" on your machine.
