Fatdog64 UEFI Dev Users - Update notice

#1 Post by jamesbond »

This post is meant for all developers who use/re-use Fatdog64 UEFI bootloaders, for example this thread and others alike: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=97141 and may be this thread as well http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=109396, etc.

If you use grub2-efi package(s) directly, please re-download the latest grub2 package from Fatdog repo. If you use efiboot.img, please re-download from http://distro.ibiblio.org/fatdog/other/efiboot.img; and update your package with those new versions.

The reason for updating is this: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help ... 00002.html: the old version will not load initrd larger than 462 MB. The newly-rebuilt one will load initrd up to the max size of your RAM.

Thank you for your attention.
