EasyOS Buster Question Question Question Arrow Very Happy

Someone else is creating wine5 (separate topic) I did ask.

Kernel 5.5 has some changes in device names so barry would need to go through all his scripts and ammend those needing it. It seems to have been reverted in the latest 5.4.17, but....

EasyOS 2.2.9 is out, see blog post:

https://bkhome.org/news/202002/easyos-version-229-released.html

The faster bootup is great.

Esmourguit has sent me recent French translations that are not in this release. Held that off, as we need to be certain that translations for easyPup do not conflict, as I posted about here:

https://bkhome.org/news/202002/international-translation-of-easypup.html

If for any reason you experience issues with acpid, you could try renaming the scripts in /etc/init.d, like this:

Code:
00sys_logger
10alsa
80-crond
90-acpid
95-messagebus

...so that acpid starts before dbus-daemon. I might do this for the next release of EasyPup.

PostPosted: Tue 11 Feb 2020, 06:03    Post subject:  USB Mouse bug
Subject description: Not recognizing USB Mouse during boot-up.

Welcome. This is my first post here.

I want to report a somewhat irritating bug, that can be frustrating for quite normal users - exactly, a USB mouse is not recognized at bootup, altrough after plugging again, the mouse is responding in a normal way.

Here is my
Code:
lsusb
log:
https://paste.linux.pizza/?850df6c35d6237a5#FYbmJI8F1TbcaihWOHRkJdPs6K6BtjP/xOZE9u/NdiY=
and here is website for my model of mouse:
https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/peripheral/mice/xornet-ii/.

Unfortunately, we can find nothing more than Windows configuration program on that site, so I cannot bring up nothing more to resolve this issue.

Thanks for Answer.

PS. Where can I find the forum for translation purposes?

2.2.9.1 Seems OK, except now the setup default sound bar is set to zero. [My preference would be 90-95% since easier to reduce after the initial woofwoof tells sound is working than silence which is indeterminate! Think I said this before.]

PostPosted: Tue 11 Feb 2020, 07:12    Post subject: Urgent kernel panic 2.2.9.1

To Barry,

Oh ****

Re 2.2.9.1 urgent, when booting to run in ram & disable drives mode,
screen fills & ends in kernel panic.

The only way to reset laptop is to slide out the battery.

Otherwise booting in normal mode is ok.
Please investigate.

Regards, Rodney.

I recently create an info page on translating:

2.2.9.1 update.
There have been problems:
2nd start-up: incredibly slow, doing things not seen before (not understood by YT!), wifi setting lost, sound set to 55%.
3rd start-up: faster but sound returned to zero, wifi recognised.
Probably needs inspection by guru(s)?
