Ay caramba, new top tip:
Right click on the desktop icon connect Does an option disconnect come up? Now you are safe.

In fact the only verified semi hacks of Puppy have come through javascript and the browser which ALL modern OS use. Basically you can be redirected or sent to a mal site where you might be inadvertently shown images/ads etc or possibly be sent an exe or com file (which is designed for Windows)
A similar thing can happen with spoofed emails that seem to go to 'Mybank.com' but in fact go to 'malbanktrump.con' or similar

A site will see you when you connect to it whether it is http or https.
As you use murga as an http connection then what would be the difference between connecting to PEW and Murga? You are exposed identically.

The site will let you connect with tor but like almost every web site it uses javascript to deliver pages.

Aha! If you truly believed Puppy was safe you would have no worries about clicking clickbait. Is your puppy penetrable? Is it secure? Maybe you have concerns?
