Anbox - Androïd apps on a regular Linux system

No emulator needed, but your system needs to have Snap enabled, and typing this command in terminal will install all necessary dependencies :

$ snap install --classic anbox-installer && anbox-installer

Note :
Anbox will install, but is still an Alpha project, so it is just for testing purposes.

For fun or for production work, when Anbox is finalised, you will enjoy your favorite Androïd apps on your regular Linux system.

To install Anbox as a snap package, you first need Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial (Xenialdog), earlier versions don't have the necessary tools to deal with snap packages.

Command to install a snap package starts with : snap install ...
To know what are available as snap packages, issue this command :
snap find

You may find that installation is a bit longer, this is because all necessary dependencies are bundled together.

Final note:
For Dog-based users, this isn't new. We are used to use SFS with a number of utilities provided with Dog-based OS, bundling together dependencies and apps, then activating them when needed, or transfering them from one computer to another (without internet).

In fact, snap packages are not as versatile as SFS files. Dog-based OS are way ahead.
