A true Pucko_Lucid_Dark GTK-2.0 theme

Hi guys.

I don't know if it was an oversight, but the Pucko_Lucid_Dark GTK-2.0 was
a carbon copy of the Pucko_Lucid_Blue theme. It wasn't dark at all.

I did search the Internet, at gnome-look.org, etc., but never found a really
dark Pucko Lucid theme.

This afternoon, I got fed up with that situation and got to work. I switched
all background and foreground colors in the gtkrc definition and reversed
the colors of the included toolbar.png and menubar.png.

We end up with a very decent dark theme, that has all the fluidity and
speed, characteristic of the Pucko Lucid style.

So here you go. Result is attached. Enjoy.

@musher0:-

I know it's not the right place to ask really, but I keep meaning to ask you; where did you get that beautiful calligraphic global font that you use? Is it a standard TTF font?

More to the point, is it easily available.....and did you have to make any modifications?

Hi Mike_Walsh.

No I didn't edit anything. It is beautiful, isn't it? :) Once and a while I like
to browse for new fonts, and I chanced upon it about a month ago.

In the picture above I use the italic rather than the roman. It's not meant
as a "calligraphic" font at all, it belongs to the "Sans" font family.

It's called "UniversalisADF", from the Arkandis Digital Foundry.

It's towards the bottom of the list on that page, the one just before the
"DingBats" section. For a direct download :
http://arkandis.tuxfamily.org/fonts/Uni ... 110904.zip

They also offer a pdf explaining it. (First icon to the left on the Universalis
font line.) Their site is in English, but the font docs are in French, I don't
know why the discrepancy. It doesn't really matter, though, because the
doc mostly illustrates the letters of the font (various sizes and styles,
thickness, etc.).

You may also like their SwitzeraADF font, which is a remake of the
versatile Vera font contemporary of WordPerfect 5.2.

Enjoy!

Hi, musher0.

Thanks for that. I'll have a nosey tomorrow morning when I get a chance. I've actually done some digging around the font sites this evening, and found at least half-a-dozen unusual ones that I very much like.

There's an astonishing amount of 'em out there..!

Cheers for the info, anyway. Appreciated.
