Subject description: I installed an Adaptec 39160 adapter and my mouse quit working

The computer boots but when I check for an i8042 for the mouse, it's not there. The keyboard's i8042 is there on IRQ1. The IRQ's jump from 1 to 6 and from 9 to 14. There should probably be a 12 in there with i8042.

Just wondering how to proceed to try to resolve the conflict? Can I do something to the mouse or the card?

Is there a command for diagnosing IRQ conflicts in Fatdog Linux 7.10?

Subject description: My bad - my mouse is simply pulled out.

Very Happy What a weird coincidence until I realize that I had to turn the case sideways to get the card in.

My mouse is working now.
