Hello
This is probably in the wrong section so please move if needed.
Has anyone any recommendation for a decent free email supplier, preferably simple if possible.
I am running tahr 605, frugal on a dell vostro 1320, 2gb ram, 2.2ghz with pale moon 27.3. I could do with two, one for general email and one for banking but one is a good start.
What do other people do.
Thanks

Your ISP does not provide this?

How are you connecting to the Internet?

I started using the services of gmx.com after the whole Yahoo debacle.

They're alright.

I'll also recommend gmx.com.

Been using them for nearly 2 years now.....alongside a very well-established GMail account! (Which I've had, I think, somewhere in the region of nearly 13 years....)

Another worth considering is mail.com. They have a certain number of free domains that you can customise with your own titles, credentials, etc. I did have an account with them for around six months a few years ago when I was working on a certain project (lapsed due to inactivity). But it worked fine while it was up-and-running.

I used Mail.com for awhile but they are plagued with SPAM from the Baltic region. Finally I just went my way and let my inbox fill up, Gmail works well for me

Hello number77.

If you are looking for a webmail site, may I suggest a couple that I've
been using:

nili.ca
---- (basic service free; no spam, because under Canadian Law; interface
takes some getting used to, but works well once you know where to click)

crawler.com
---- (+/- CDN $10 - $11 / year depending on the exchange rate, but worth
it, IMO; very good and efficient interface; can alert you of / import
messages from outside mail accounts; has organizer, minimal file depot,
photo sharing; also RSS news feeds and search engine if you like)

mail2world.com
---- (free; you can customize the "world" part of the address above;
also offers you your own blog, if you can figure out how it works!)

IHTH.

I use Zoho
https://www.zoho.com/
Aimed at businesses but they do a free service for personal use - no ads, and I've never had any spam.
Got quite a few other features available, but I never use them.

Thanks Keef
Zoho seems straightforward, I have signed up.

Hi All,

Although the OP's request has been solved, I thought the concern it raised was something which is likely to arise from time to time. So, I've opened a thread on the Browsers and Internet SubForum for future queries and responses: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=956912#956912

I've been using them for a couple of years and no spam of any kind so I suspect its more related to where you have been going with your email address .
