Create Debian 9 (Stretch) minimal ISO similar to DebianDog
Hi rcrsn51,
About peasywifi, you added the Names button for support of 'cryptic' interface names, but I can't make it connect to a wired connection (for me "ens1")
This in case of removed /etc/systemd/network/99-default.link (the workaround for getting the 'normal' names as set by default in Stretch-live build) and reboot.
Only way in this case to make it connect for me is editing /etc/pwf/interfaces and changing eth0 to ens1.(but maybe I'm missing something)
Can you have a look at it?
Fred

On small screens, the volume control in the system tray can be hard to use. So here is a replacement that pops up AlsaMixer.
It launches from /root/.config/openbox/autostart
Remove the fake .gz extension.

Thanks, added to repos, just curious, what exactly could be the problem on small screens with volumeicon ?rcrsn51 wrote:On small screens, the volume control in the system tray can be hard to use. So here is a replacement that pops up AlsaMixer.
@all, upgrade of package "dropboxgui" install v1.0.3 deb:
https://fredx181.github.io/StretchDog/i ... .3_all.deb
Or install with Synaptic or apt-get
Made improvement in dropbox_uploader.sh script, see also here:

Hi AndresC2, sorry, no clue.
If you do exactly the same again all over, you get the same warning also again ?
@ALL :
Package "gmplayer" upgraded in repos.
Changed default to x11 and added "zoom=1" in ~/.mplayer/config
If your graphics card supports xv, you can set it to "vo=xv" in the config file.

Perfect. On a machine that only works with x11, I can run PeasyDVDPlayer and set all the other options. Then mplayer will get "zoom=1" from the config and play the DVD in full screen.fredx181 wrote:Package "gmplayer" upgraded in repos.

Hi Fred!
that is random.
I will try with another build.
put it in google:
W:APT had planned for dpkg to do more than it reported back (58 vs 61). Affected packages: x11-utils:i38
and is like a bug.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=850327
I talk you later
thanks

Hi Andres, did a build with mklive-stretch just now, to see if I could reproduce what you got, but no such warning appeared for me.AndresC2 wrote:Hi Fred!

Maybe it's a bug in apt, but note that it's just a *warning*, if it isn't followed by an error, everything could be just fine.
Did you check if your build booted and ran OK ? (despite the warning)

Upgradable packages from rcrsn51:
- Peasywifi :
@rcrsn51, thanks, I had to change version number in control to 4.1-1 (you kept 4.1), otherwise it's not seen as upgrade by apt, also made two different packages for 32 and 64 bit (same as earlier peasymp3 packages, with added gnome-mplayer-* as secondary dependency besides gmplayer, to avoid forcing to install gmplayer if gnome-mplayer already installed, tell me if you think different)

- Peasywifi :
- Peasymp3 (v4.1-1), changed some minor things in the user interfacercrsn51 wrote:The Encrypt feature was originally built with bcrypt. But Debian has declared bcrypt to be insecure and has disabled it.
So I have replaced it with ccrypt. I updated your latest 4.5-1 packages to 4.6 and have added ccrypt as a dependency

Batteries provide information to the OS in a variety of ways. Batterup is a fully customizable monitor that should work with any battery. This is particularly useful with old or replacement batteries that give misleading data.
Batterup displays the time/charge/power/voltage remaining until shutdown and pops up a warning message when the battery is getting low.
Note: The Batterup tray icon does NOT change its appearance with the status of the battery - use a mouse-over. To see the time remaining, the charger must be UNplugged. Wait a moment for the information to update.
Update: V1.3 has an auto-shutdown feature. If you don't respond to the warning message for two minutes, Batterup will run a poweroff command.
--------------------------------
The default warning time is 10 minutes. To change it, do the following:
1. Go to the folder /root/Startup
2. Open the file batterup_start in a text editor.
3. Modify Line 11:
4. Run System > Batterup restart
------------------------
Some batteries are calibrated using energy (mWh) instead of charge (mAh). Set the time remaining with:
If your battery doesn't provide useful timing information to Batterup, you can use the amount of charge remaining. This will take some trial-and-error to calibrate. For example, try 10% of the full charge value:
Or use the amount of energy remaining:
If none of those options work, switch to the minimum voltage in milliVolts.
In each case, you will need some testing to find the setting that works best with your battery.

Hi Bill, got a battery now and tested batterup, but maybe something is wrong with my battery because it takes forever to get fully charged.fredx181 wrote:@rcrsn51, thanks, added batterup to repos, can't test at the moment, laptop on AC power (battery dead) will do later when I get the chance.
Also I tried "fdpowermon" (it's in Debian repo) , btw, did you check that ?
With fdpowermon it's In fact the same for me (taking forever to reach 100%) but at some point it shows a (promising) 99% saying only a few minutes to go, but gets stuck on that (but maybe I have to be more patient )
