Saving HTOP color scheme? (Solved)

#1 Post by jss83 »

What is the way to save the Htop color scheme? No matter how many times I save it, it goes back to the same old one after closing it down.

I would prefer to use the Monochromatic one.

htop saves its configuration in ~/.config/htop/htoprc

The colour scheme is saved as a value of

color_scheme=

in that file. For whatever reason yours apparently isn't being changed/saved.

You are using F2 (setup) within htop and then F10 (done) after making the change?

Yes, I saved it with F10 many times. I don't have any file at ~/.config/htop/htoprc

Edit:
Okay, I edited the file and saved with f10 again and that created a file at ~/.config/htop/htoprc and then I edited the color scheme and restarted htop and it shows monochromatic colors for now. Let's see if it stays the same after restart.

Update:
Success! It looks great now! Thank you so much, Sir! :D
