Statement of Question:

Why is Xenial-pup posted as the latest Puppy Version out, 2017 March,
but NOT available via OSdisc.com, but DOES test well on my system ?

Why is lx-Xenial-pup posted as the latest, does NOT test well.

Why is Artful-pup not posted as a latest Puppy , 2017 November,
but IS available via OSdisc.com, and does NOT test well on my system.
( ie, I don't find all the code, is not listed on puppy menu, is not linked)

Comment:

I have been testing and using Puppy Linux for some 10 years.
One of my important Usage Tests is the ability to load a LibreOffice.
One of my important Usage Tests is to be able to load an IRON browser,
which appears to be 30% faster than FireFox
when I run a commercial internet SPICE daily.
Also, I run several LibreOffice Spread-Sheets for documentation,
and maintain a large website via internet editor.

So, now, Xenial-pup works very well.

Puppy Linux has been the most productive and secure OS
of all the Linux distros I have used.
Puppy Linux is more fun than a barrel of M$ monkeys :P

OSdisc.com has a problem.
They are not looking closely at what they are offering.

Puppy versions are posted on this forum.
First as alpha builds, to test and work the bugs out.
Progress to beta versions. Still buggy, but better.
Final release.
Etc.....

Official Puppies are posted here when released as a finished build.
http://puppylinux.com/

On this forum you will find all kinds of Puppy like versions in different stages of development.
Along with Puppy versions, that will one day be an official version, when totally developed.

Finally, not all Puppy versions work on all possible computers.
However, one of them will work on a specific computer.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
