When I open Puppy Network Wizard (step 1) I don't see wlan0 but only eth0

That indicates no driver to load it.

Try doing what it says here:
This is the topic on drivers for Broadcom wifi device.
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=876690#876690

This is for the 3.14.55 Linux kernel.
To make sure that is what you are using.
Run menu>System>Pup-Sysinfo>Sys-specs>kernel.
This will tell you which kernel is used.

If not correct for the kernel being used.

Look in this topic for other choices.
Something in it should help you.

Wish you luck!

Try the Network Wizard again after you get a driver.

You could just try a newer version of Puppy.
It may have better support.
Xenialpup is a good one to try.

Limbomusic's idea may work too.
Changing to a newer kernel does add newer hardware support.

that .exe file is okay....but you will need to run that file like it is in windows xp...that is where the program Wine comes into play.....I used a trick and installed Wine onto my Puppy Linux then started the setup.exe......it will install itself in the virtual C: drive Wine will make.....there will be a folder with the drivers in it. pick the one for windows xp remember its location...then go through those steps I showed you and load that windows netgear driver as a Nsdiwrapper...once the driver is loaded it will find the dongle and configure it...then go through the steps to connect to your wifi ....

all your doing is using the driver for the netgear device.......once I extract the driver folder I delete Wine and the rest of the setup software. And just use the folder....which I might have on some far-flung storage space...I will look and if I find it I will upload it for you.
