The US and its idiotic ways

#1 Post by Limbomusic »

Sometimes. When u don't have any wine left. U gotta make do with beer. Its quite horrible.
--------------
I wrote something here last weekend about us politics, socialism and whatnot. It was well-meant - but also - ill and just lame.

Sorry. Sometimes I post when drunker than a.
Well, really drunk. Anyway. I CAN be a complete twat when drinking and posting. (which I was) - so forget about it. please.
---------------------
In other news: I got a actual REAL woman to come and help me tidy and wash my house. (I know. a christmas miracle) so that s good. - okay then.

Good for you drunken MoFo.

When you sober-up... things didn't change. The patent system is borqed, everyone IS out to steal your online habits and information for profit, non-citizens have more rights and entitlements than citizens, and the cars are getting drunk on 10% alcohol.

Cheers

So you live in a wealthy country (Norway) and you suggest that your poor is not worse off than the rich.

When you say that you pity the people in the US, do you mean "pity the poor people in the US"?

Although in the dismal headlights of the hang-over after 2 days of heavy drinking I DO realize that I should never have stuck my nose into any politics whatsoever. ugh.
peace out.

big hugs for limbomusic here, too. My significant other (female) from years ago suffered from alcoholism, too. Horrible disease.

Hang in there. Limbo!

And don't be too hard on yourself.

Crap happens in life.

Plus life and its memories can rush around and at us during the holidays.

We all muddle through as best as we can.

No one is special above another.

What matters is we all keep trying.

And you do

My old man was an alcoholic, even though he didn't (quite) die of it. And I left my ex- because of her drinking; she was one of these who hid bottles everywhere, and swore blind there wasn't a problem.

I'm glad I never developed a taste for it. I went down the local watering-hole with a bunch of mates on my 18th; got totally pie-eyed; and woke up the next day feeling like death warmed over. I swore there & then that was it; I had better things to waste my money on!

I've essentially been teetotal since that day. I'd rather have a mug of coffee.....a true geek!

That's the true problem with drinking. You know what you're doing to your system, but you can't seem to help it. And you hate yourself for it.......

There can be light at the end of the tunnel....if you want it badly enough, and you're finally fed up with the dark. We may only be an online community.....but our community tries to take care of its own, where we can.

Mm. Point taken...!??

Living on your own can, er, well, make you do stupid shit. 'Cos there's no-one there to tell you otherwise. So stupid shit can all too easily become the 'norm'.....without you realising it.

Many folks are happy with their own company, it's true. But we humans are naturally social animals; it's not exactly normal to spend long spells without contact with others. Hermitry is NOT 'normal behaviour'.....although I will concede that we are, sometimes, victims of circumstance.

It's when you drink to forget (.....that you drink), is when you've got a real problem.

Just try & keep that 'light' in sight..! :)

Hello, limbomusic.

How far is it to the nearest village or town from your place? It's not my place to
advise anything to you, but maybe you could go there once a week, and have a
drink and a sandwich at a cafe / bar / pub there.

Maybe someone in the village / town needs your smile and your great heart too ?!
Not just us here on this forum! :)

I live by myself too. I have a pitiful opinion of my own species  , but I like to
mix with other monkeys every 2-3 days, even if it's only at the grocery store. Or to
chuckle at the ridiculous cars some of them are driving!!! ;) Maybe you'll hear a new
song that's pretty good. Going out can be fun, and it airs the mind a bit.

IHTH.

Thanx Mike and musher0 :-)

Its not like I'm a complete hermit - but I do find being around other people very stressful at times.

And.. like u said mush: " I have a pitiful opinion of my own species" - well - me too kind of.
Like. I just dont get the whole "get married, have kids - have your own FAMILY" - and THATS whats gonna make you happy" - thing. never ever. anyway.
I have been visting my mum/family for christmas. They live in a city. I took a stroll in a big shopping mall, just walking around looking at people. There are teenage girls trying to look like the Kardashians. And young men in T-shirts with bulging muscles. - In my mind theyre all there to see, but more importantly - to BE SEEN by others.
Of course - this makes sense I guess - people wanna be sexy/loved/desired.
Then I saw a young man kissing his baby child. This would normally be a cozy thing to witness. But he kissed his baby over and over and over - like he wanted to demonstrate to ALL AROUND that HEY - I have a child and I LOVE it. LOOK AT MEEEEE !!! (and how incredibly delireliosly happy and successful I am)

For me. Life has to be about adventure and discovery and learning stuff. And it makes me a bit.. just bored and sad to see that most people just wanna. I dont know. Copulate and make copies of themselves. (in my opinion masturbation is highly underrated)

okay - take - Bruce Jenner. He is now Caitlin. whatev - peace. But SINCE then. ALL he cares about is this "transgender community" - its like he doesnt have ANY other interests beside that. Like. The ULTIMATE ego trip.

I am now 45 years old. And yes sometimes i DO enjoy the company of others (preferably drunk) but most times not. ;-)

Like girls. I just wanna have fun - but having fun is sometimes hard - gotta work at it or be in a mindset that sometimes eludes me.

- if inclined check out the song "Nightmares on wax - Les nuits" from playlist listed under here. I just love it.
http://helledussen.com/groove/chill.html

Any other musings on whatever would be cool - so feel free.

Peace AND love :-)

oh and from the same list: Kaleo - Way down we go
