Old Style Network and Memory Icons

#1 Post by Smithy »

I always liked these network icons, and the stacked bagels memory, so I converted them to svg format in case anyone fancies putting them into newer puppies.
Oh and I tested the memory in Dpup Stretch by uxtracting some massive files until it went down to 1 meg left and flashing red.

DPup Stretch recovered very well when I deleted all the files in ram and it shot up to full green bagels. Some of the older puppies could not recover from that test and would require a reboot, so not bad.

The Memory Icons would go into usr/share/pixmaps/puppy.
The Network Icons would go into usr/share/pixmaps/netmon_.wce.

Hello nilsonmorales, there's a great selection of icons you have there.
F wall could be Firewall maybe?

I've just realised that it was you who compiled the tint 2 panel.pet inside the openbox plus pets for puppy. Bravo.

I wonder would it be possible to make one for the newer puppy linuxes at all?
The structure seems to have changed a lot!

Anyways thanks if you have the time to get a pet together.
Musher has a thread on .xinitrc+ making alternative desktops available on the newer puppies.

Dear Smithy,

Thanks for the icons. I did my own old memory indicators as pure svgs, and they are a bit clearer and, maybe, smaller. They are in the archive.

With kind regards,
vovchik

Nice Vovchik, they do look clearer, I will try these out. Cheers.

EDIT: Your top green bar looks larger than the other ones which makes it look not quite right. Like a turban plonked on top.
