How do we disable "WARNING: Personal storage file getting..?

#1 Post by belham2 »

Hi everyone.

Anyone know how to disable the incredibly irksome red warning popup boxes in any puppy telling you:

"WARNING: Personal storage file getting full, strongly recommended you resize it or delete files"

Dam#, I already know what my storage file size is & how close to the limit I am, as I am running stuff on minimal (1 GB or smaller) SD cards fully in RAM. I'm sick of this Microsoft-like annoying message tendency of puppies. How do I permanently get rid of this particular message/popup?

So far, I've stopped "freememapplet_tray.desktop" from starting/running in /root/.config/autostart". That was no help. I've also searched through /root/.xnitrc, but I cannot figure where/what to disable in there? Surely I don't have to re-compile the kernel and/or make vmlinuz changes to get this personal storage file popup to stop, correct? (At the moment I am running Radky's great DpupStretch trying to get this to stop---but it applies to all puppies, as I've witnessed they all do this).

Thanks for any tips, help and/or suggestions on how to do so.
