Subject description: Save file problems with FatDog64

I am trying to use FatDog64 710 on a HP Stream EFI with Legacy support, using 'LICK' to manage it.
* Runs fine
* Saves savefile
* loads savefile
* does not execute savefile (ignores it)
* WILLl read savefile from a USB stick
* will NOT read savefile from SD Card

LICK is installed in Windows 10 Pro
Question

This doesn't surprise me. BarryK has found that some SD card readers that
laptops use don't allow booting. Probably bad chip design. The kernel doesn't recognize the chip during booting.

I managed to install FatDog64 720 on the hard drive. Booted up fine with EFI, but still would only read the savefile if it was on a USB stick. Didn't like 720, you can't disable the touchpad.

Good! It should work better.

Look somewhere in /etc folder or /etc/X11/ folder
or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
The loading of drivers is controlled there.

A trick I am currently doing in fatdogarm is
making a save file with the default name

Then I put in cmdline.txt ---> savefile=direct:local

The operating system looks for the save file automatically when booting,
so this is nice when using the raspberry pi as headless machine.

...but note that save file must be using the default name.
