How do I tell if the Frugalpup from Quickpet is the latest version?

I updated BionicBeaver-64 with Quickpet.
Frugalpup shows under 'setup' in menu.
But, is that the lastest?

Start Frugalpup and see what version it is.
Look at the Frugalpup topic and see if that is the latest.

Right now Quickpet is providing the latest version of Frugalpup v20.
That is the good working release version that just works.
It works very well for me.

I really put that, get the latest version statement in there, for people that go to the download location to get Frugalpup.
It still lists some of the older versions and they were still buggy.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

Bigpup, as of today, 7-5-20, Quickpet is offering Frugalpup Installer v20 which coincides with Gyro's release. :)

Frugalpup Installer v20 is probably going to be good for some time.
Even if a newer version is released, it will still work.
About all Gyro can do to Frugalpup Installer, is add some new feature.

Bionicpup64's Quickpet of frugalpup20

I'm always leery when I recall something but can't find it.
Bigpup, my recollection is that 666philb recently changed how quickpet installed frugalpup in order that such installation would, in fact, overwrite the earlier builtin version. Can you confirm? and/or clarify the situation and mention any work-around needed?

Frugalpup Installer was never built into Bionicpup64 8.0

666philb, a few updates back, made it an added program, when you run Quickpet->Info->Bionicpup updates.

The first time it installed Frugalpup Installer v11.

When Frugalpup Installer v20 was tried to be loaded as a sfs package.
The already installed v11, would override it, and still run v11.
There had to be a big work around to get v20, as a loaded sfs, to run.

So, 66philb has now updated Quickpet->Info->Bionicpup updates.
If run now, it updates and installs Frugalpup Installer v20.

This kind of uncovered an issue, of trying to load a sfs package of a program, when the program is already installed.

Installing a newer pet of the installed program, will usually update the program, by over writing the programs installed files.
Just loading a sfs package, of the program, seems to not do that.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
