Hello all.

I came across this:
https://searchengineland.com/top-10-sea ... hem-173343

Who knew?! Some of these parameters I had never heard of.
Use them on your search line in any search engine to get more
accurate results, faster.

Thanks, this is a great idea! I once did a course on how to use an internet search engine, but I have to admit I've got lazy recently and just type the word I want to search for into either google or duckduckgo and then hope for the best.

In my view there's also something to be said for metasearch engines such as dogpile, which combine the searching power of several individual search engines into one composite one.

6 to 10 were new to me. The others I to tend to use, but less so for the AND and OR's. More inclined to use + and -

+"I want this" -"but not this"

For site searches I've always tended to do it the other way around i.e.

search for any of this text site:murga-linux.com/puppy
